J.A. Henckels International Classic Clad 7-Piece Cookware Set Review
This was my holiday gift to myself, after years of mismatched low quality pots and pans. I cook a lot and suddenly it struck me: this could be better! After shopping around and learning some stuff, this set seemed to be the one that offered outstanding quality and amazing price all rolled into one. What I wasn't prepared for was the esthetic quality of the pans--half the pleasure of using them is in the visual appreciation. And while a tad bit over the top, the opening of the new set rivals an Apple unveiling experience.
We did realize, once we started using the set, that we were missing a critical piece: the 4 quart saucepan which we use for soups at least 4 times a week during the winter. We've added that now, and are good to go.

J.A. Henckels International Classic Clad 7-Piece Cookware Set Overview
Henckels International Clad Cookware is tri-ply cookware composed of 18/10 stainless, aluminum and magnetic stainless. The middle aluminum layer extends from the base up the sides of the pan so the heat is conducted evenly throughout the pan. This increases the cooking performance of the pan and eliminates hot spots, which can burn foods because of uneven heating when cooking. The stainless steel material on the interior cooking surface and outside of the pan is high strength, resistant to rusting and does not react when in contact with food.

Clad inside and out in gleaming stainless steel, the four pots and pans in this set (three come with lids) ably cook an entire gourmet meal. Included are one- and two-quart covered saucepans, a six-quart covered stock pot, and an open 10-inch frying pan. The long handles, riveted for strength and curved for comfort and control, stay cool thanks to their hollow design and V-connection. Cooks who like to hang pots and pans within easy reach will appreciate the generously sized hole in each handle end. Be informed! This product is Made in China. Yes, the land of low quality, cheap and often illegal knock offs. This cookware set is way too expensive (even discounted) for where it was made. Enough said.

I bought the 7 piece set and have added some other Henckels items to it since the initial purchase. In my opinion there is no need to spend money for higher priced cookware. This stuff is really very, very good. I will continue to add to my set and enjoy cooking with it everyday.
