Check Out Fasta Pasta The Microwave Cooker for $8.99

Fasta Pasta The Microwave Cooker Review

I was looking for a new pasta pot when I saw the Fasta Pasta, so for the price, I decided to give it a try. My wife hates to cook pasta because she never gets it right so we have not had much pasta at our house. When my wife saw it she thought the size was perfect because it would store in a small space. She cooked some Mezze Penne pasta in it for her first try and it was wonderful. She thinks the guy that invented it should get a reward. It cooked the pasta perfectly, was a water saver, did not make a mess, and overall one of the best cooking items we have. I actually made a bunch of points by getting this for her instead of a big space waster pot.

A great energy and time saver - Eric Washburn -
While I have so far only used the Fasta Pasta for single servings (which for me is about four ounces, probably double what the pasta package describes as a serving), it has performed flawlessly. This process uses only a fraction of the four quarts of water I used to need, and I can be doing other things while the microwave counts down the 11-minute cooking time--no more prolonged scrutiny, wondering when the water on the stovetop will begin to boil so that the pasta can be added. There also seems to be a lot less residue created, and the dishwasher space required for the Fasta Pasta maker is minimal.

Microwave Cookware - Making Cooking More Convenient

Perhaps the most obvious testament to our fast-paced lives is the proliferation of the microwave oven and microwave cookware, for that matter. We have them in all shapes and sizes, and the simple convenience of using microwave cookware to "heat, store, and serve" has made these items indispensable in any 21st-century household.

There is no lack of critics who look down on the fad that is microwave cooking. In reality, because fast-paced lifestyles are likely here to stay, microwave cookware may be more of permanent household fixtures than merely fads.

They may not be handed down from one generation to the next as heirloom pieces, but microwave cookware are bought for practicality's sake. These days, most working men and women rarely have the time to do hour-long baking, roasting, or slow-cooking.

It is common knowledge that microwave cookware is made of plastic, and the accidental use of metals creates the risk of the microwave oven breaking down in the long run. However, there are some metals which could actually be used for microwave cooking.

Aluminum foil, for instance, could be used to wrap the ends of a turkey's or chicken's legs to keep these from burning. Its primary purpose is for shielding. Small skewers made of metal won't be a big deal, and microwave cookware such as shallow convenience trays lined with some metal won't harm the appliance.

Keep in mind, though, that any microwave cookware with metal should be placed at least an inch away from the walls of the microwave oven. In addition, deep metal pans and cartons which are lined with foil are not used, simply because they keep the microwaves from reaching the food's core.

There are various grades of plastic used in the manufacture of microwave cookware. Some are durable while others are good only for a few uses. Cheaper microwave cookware is usually not microwave safe, so it's best to go for the well-known brands. At least you are assured that big companies see to it that all their products go through quality testing.

And because it is a known fact that microwaves travel in straight lines, square- or rectangular-shaped microwave cookware is better than round or circular containers. Choose shallow microwave cookware to ensure that microwaves reach even the interior parts of the food and not just the surface.

Microwave cooking is generally safe if you follow cooking times and directions to the letter and use only the right microwave cookware.

Not all are equal - How to choose a glass microwave cookware

If you are familiar with the microwave, you probably noticed the lack of plastic in a zone that is in contact with the microwave radiation. As the body of the microwave is primarily made of metal and some plastic models in which the keys or the display is, none of them lacking the microwave glass to be coated. The door of the microwave is most likely made from sturdy see through the glass, which allows you to see what happens inside the ovenProtects against radiation. There is also a rugged turntable on which you place the food to be cooked or heated, and this is made of heat resistant glass, which is probably not unbreakable, so they do not fall off while cleaning.

Traditionally, the best pots used for cooking in the microwave oven is made of glass. The glass cookware is designed for this purpose, thick, rugged and heat - resistant, all that can certainly be used in one in an ovenMicrowave. What do you want it to be, however, is that the metal plating utensils carefully around it, often metallic, silver or gold inlay, which can cause sparks in a microwave while heating the food is unsafe for cooking. Make sure the glass is microwave safe, why not break or crack in the microwave, if exposure to heat above. Most ceramic vessels, particularly those burning oven or can be used in the microwave. Make sure the color is not usedmetal in any way. Glass is the first choice for cooking in the microwave.

There are many companies that manufacture of glass, specially developed for use with the microwave, many of them as bowls, or can be used to power the fridge.

Metal and paper should not be used in the microwave at all, unless it is explicitly mentioned, which can be used safely in microwave ovens.

Nevertheless, you should check to ensure, in order, that temperature may be used or under what conditions.

When it comes to plastic, plastic objects can no longer be safely used in the microwave, because it is likely to merge. However, some manufacturers try to market that are safe for use in your oven. Again, make sure that they are actually microwave before using them.

The reasons for the use of microwave cooking glass in the microwave are many, aside from the most secure method of cooking, the glass does not reactwith food and change in any way. In addition, the microwave radiation easily through the glass, which allows you to switch foods, cooked or heated properly.
