West Bend Waterless Cookware - A new wave

The West Bend waterless cooker was an innovative idea, if by the West Bend company founded in 1920. Like a pot to "waterless" describes the object in question is a big pot with frying pans, so that a portion could be cooked whole meal on one burner. It 'was designed so that the lid of the stove had terminals that could prevent steam escaping from the cooking pot, while the meal. This has allowed for meals, without adding the water must be boiled, since the water fromFood itself would remain in the pot because the steam could not escape.

The reason why the words "pot without water," will almost always connected to the West Bend Company, which was invented in 1920, when the first example of waterless cookware, not the West Bend company only had the patent on the hook coverage, but also the name of the patented "waterless cooker".

Is not specifically designed for cooking, which do not need to add water, steaming food, but basedthe moisture already in the food itself is captured. The pot is made of stainless steel, which is specially designed to evenly distribute and accumulate heat.

This is the first time I heard this kind of dish, because it is unique in many ways can and will be largely sold through "home parties" because, as this type of work pans simply explained by the exhibition. Although often not in most retail chains, has foundThe introduction of technology and online stores is purchased on the Internet means more than ever.

Some sets waterless cookware have one layer of carbon in the core of what makes this variety suitable for use in particular on a series of induction. This type of cooking is increasingly popular because it does not, what kind of an oven or range to cook something with this cookware is high efficiency. Since stainless steel, like all the cooking utensilsthe same material, will be permanent.

West Bend waterless cookware is the quality of stainless steel, and is not only energy efficient, but also due to less heat required for cooking, you lose fewer nutrients in the pipeline, which means losing the ' healthy food for you, while none of the taste. In fact, there are those who prefer waterless cookware for meals a lot, says it is more likely to preserve the natural flavor and makes the food actually taste better.

While along time elapsed since the original idea for the waterless cookware set, which is an idea that has proven its value over time. The West Bend waterless cookware still exists, is still strong and is preferred by many, some of the best around pans in the kitchen.

Great Price KitchenAid 51249 for $79.95

KitchenAid 4-1/2-Quart Cast-Iron Round Casserole, Garnet Review

I have long had a much larger Le Creuset dutch oven, and I use it for all kinds of things. But to do the no-knead bread recipe, I had to make a very large loaf (double recipe), and I also had to replace the Le Creuset handle, which cannot take 450-500 degrees. I received this KitchenAid pot as a gift, and tested it right away. I can make a perfect single recipe of the bread, and the stock handle is already good to go. The finish and handle are looking good as new after minimal clean-up. I can only assume it will work great for all the other less demanding things that we want to do with enameled cast iron.

KitchenAid 4-1/2-Quart Cast-Iron Round Casserole, Garnet Feature

  • Cast iron construction heats evenly and retains heat exceptionally well - perfect for slow cooking in the oven and keeping food warm at the table.
  • Two-toned porcelain enamel adds an elegant splash of color to your kitchen. A white porcelain enamel interior eliminates the need for seasoning required by traditional non-coated cast iron.
  • A unique cast stainless steel handle provides a secure durable grip. Soft silicone inserts match the cookware color and are oven safe to 500°F.
  • Self-basting lid design allows steam to collect on points on the lid interior. The condensed steam recirculates back into the pan allowing food to stay moist and succulent.
  • Hassle-Free Replacement Warranty

Great Pot - Shelby W - Northern Va
This dutch oven is very nice, cooks great and is easy to clean. My only complaint is it is not as red as I thought it would be. The red leans way to the brown side, but it is still very handsome.

Great Price Calphalon DR1388 for $79.95

Calphalon One Infused Anodized 8-Inch Fry Pan Review

I have owned these pans for years now and if you follow mfg., instructions they last for a long long time.

Two important things are to NOT cook on High and NOT to use cooking sprays.

They heat up qickly and hold the heat so you can actually finish the last few minutes of cooking while the gas or electric is turned off. The pan hold the heat so wonderfully.

Happy cooking!

Eggs stick to this pan. - M. Fischer - Fort Collins, CO USA
This is a well made pan. It looks and feels good in the hand, BUT, it is NOT non-stick, at least for eggs. When I'm done making scrambled eggs it leaves a layer of egg stuck to the pan, just as much egg is stuck as is in my 8" stainless pan. I have a larger Calphalon One pan (13" or so) and eggs do not stick to it. I'm not sure what the difference is, but I know this one is a mess to cook eggs in. My wife has resorted to using the 13" monster pan even to cook one egg rather than trying to clean this one.

Good product, but - Gary A. Smith - Orlando, Florida
I have a set of Calphalon One frying pans. I needed to replace the 8 inch fry pan because the one I have been using for nearly 5 years was starting to show some wear. The new Calphanon One Infused Anodized on appears to be exactly like the one I currently have. Although the product is very well made, I notcied that when cooking the new frying pan, I am having a problem with things (frying eggs) stick to the bottom while cooking. It cleans up fine, but I did not have the same sticking issue with the older pan. I still like the new pan and it cleans up easily, I am a little dissapointed with the sticking issue. Maybe it will get better with a little more use.

it's all scratched up - Lex - New York City
I've had this little pan for a couple of years. It heats quickly and evenly. It's very easy to clean except around the rivets. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't buy calphalon one because it has scratches all over it. I'm not a mad man, I don't dig into it, I'm middle aged, and I've used a lot of different pans in my time. This one needs plastic utensils or it will scratch. At some point in time I'll replace it because I don't like the idea of ingesting the coating, but I don't want to keep spending 0 on pans that scratch.

Check Out J.A. Henckels International Classic Clad 10-Piece Cookware Set for $249.95

J.A. Henckels International Classic Clad 10-Piece Cookware Set Review

I purchased this set because I was replacing my 16 year old radiant cooktop with a new induction cooktop and most of my older cookware was not induction capable.

I decided that these were a reasonable alternative to the more expensive All Clad cookware and, at this price, if they didn't work out well I could always afford to replace them.

I used them originally with the old radiant cooktop and was quite impressed with how quickly they heated, how well the cooked, and how easy they were to clean. I had expected stainless steel to be hard to clean but these are not. At times I will need to soak them for an hour or so prior to cleaning but most of the time that is not necessary. So far we have used regular dishwashing liquid to clean them.

I'm even more impressed with their performance with my new GE induction cooktop and I particularly like the interior volume markings. It is amazing how I can "titrate" the level of simmering/bubbling/boiling with the combination of the induction cooktop and this cookware.

In short, these are very cost effective, functional, and attractive.

  • Hollow, stay-cool handles riveted for strength, with hanging holes
  • 18/10 stainless-steel interiors resist sticking, fine for metal utensils
  • Curved inner contour aids cleaning; wash by hand; lifetime warranty

Excellent design - J -
The ergonomic handles make these pots and pans much better than any other similar pots and pans available. The handles really do stay cool, and they make the pans a lot easier to lift and move. These pans heat very evenly. They do not have a nonstick surface, a feature I prefer. I have a glass cook top stove and usually use a medium low setting for foods that are cooked without water. Baking soda works well for cleaning any residue that sticks to the pan when a higher heat is used. I never use scratchy pads or commercial scouring powders to clean these pans, just baking soda on a dish cloth or liquid dish detergent and warm water. The lids are very convenient, both to use and to store. I prefer these metal lids to the glass lids that come with many pans.

Love this set! - K. Boren - New York, NY
This is a great set. To clean I would suggest BOn Ami. HEats evenly, easy to clean and maintain.

Excellent, superb quality cookware! - D. Moore - Cleveland, OH
I've owned this set of cookware for over two years, and I love them! The packaging was the first sign of quality. Everything is individually placed in plastic bags, then placed in cloth bags. They are superb quality, sturdy, very well-constructed, good looking, heat evenly, and I expect them to last a very, very long time. They've tarnished slightly, but it does not affect the results, and may be caused by occassionally cleaning them in the dishwasher. They clean up nicely for non-non-stick pans. :) They are a bit pricey, but if you want long lasting cookware that produces consistent results without requiring special care, treat yourself to this awesome set!

KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials 12-Piece Nonstick Hard-Anodized Cookware Set Review

For the price, I didn't expect these to be as heavy as they were. I mean heavy in a good way; heavy = durable. I like the glass lids, although it would be nice to have a little vent hole. The grips are wonderful, they definitely do not get hot. The outsides of the pots clean up as easily as the insides, which surprised me. And, so far, the insides have performed well. Food comes off easily, they clean up very easily. How long they last like that remains to be seen. I've never had non-stick last very long. But, so far so good. No sign of any trouble. The smallest pot is pretty small, and I haven't had a need to use it yet, but the largest pot is the perfect size. And, on Amazon, the 12 piece set is priced less than I've seen the 10 piece set everywhere else, so, it's like that smallest pot is a freebie, anyway. I have found the "even heating" doesn't apply to the skillet. Not that I expected the whole bottom to get as hot as the parts that are just above the flame, but, since these are made of a product that are supposed to be the best at even heating, I guess I expected it to perform a little better in that sense. But, it's no worse than any other skillet I've ever used except for my iron skillets. Most of the reviews I've read are pretty accurate: these are GREAT for the price. They're far better than more expensive sets I've had.

KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials 12-Piece Nonstick Hard-Anodized Cookware Set Overview

From KitchenAid's Gourmet Essentials line comes this cookware set made of hard-anodized aluminum. Durable, handsomely finished in matte charcoal gray, and known for its exceptional heat distribution and retention properties, hard-anodized cookware is a very popular choice for the home chef. KitchenAid embellishes these pots with stainless-steel handles, riveted for strength and wrapped with cushy, stay-cool silicone grips. The lids, made of break-resistant glass for optimum viewing, also feature silicone-wrapped handles, highly arched to enable easy grasping with a potholder or oven mitt. Both the pans and lids are oven-safe up to 400 degrees F.

An excellent value, this 12-piece set consists of the most frequently used kitchen pots and pans and makes a great gift set. The two skillets, measuring 8 and 10 inches in diameter, handle everyday frying and sautéing needs, from eggs-over-easy to grilled cheese sandwiches to fish filets, then crepes for dessert. Three saucepans holding 1, 2, and 3 quarts let you boil a single egg, heat soup, and slow-cook a creamy risotto with wild mushrooms. The large 8-quart stockpot with two loop handles works admirably for family-sized batches of pasta, chili, soup, and corn-on-the-cob. Finally, the 12-inch covered sauté pan with its helper handle tackles generous quantities of fried chicken, braised meats, stir-fries, and poached salmon. The nonstick finish releases food quickly and makes clean up by hand a snap. It's best to keep the nonstick cookware out of the dishwasher. All the positive reviews must not cook with gas - Prime Devotee - Eastern PA USA
We purchased this cookware less than a year ago. In a short time, our gas stove had licked the finish right off the exterior of every pot and pan. Totally discolored, and a decent percentage of the surface is down to the bare metal. Totally unacceptable.

I sent one of the pots and a picture of all pots and pans to the warranty address... have not heard back and it's been 2 months.

Based on the other reviews, we might have received a defective set, but we're totally baffled, and not nearly as confident about the KitchenAid brand as we were previously... especially with the totally unacceptable customer service.

Strangely enough, it's the inside of the cookware that has disappointed us in past purchases (Pampered Chef and even ScanPan), and the insides of these pots still look new.

Great value mid-range cookware set - Philly888 -
I purchased this set of cookware 18 months ago, and I haven't regretted it. I haven't noticed any wear, even on the 8-inch skillet that gets used every day for fried eggs. I like the glass lids and the stay cool handles (although I wish there was a little less exposed metal on the lid handles - I've burnt myself on it, but only a couple times). I went with the 12-piece set instead of the 10-piece because I wanted the 12-inch (I think 3QT) saute pan which isn't included in the 10 piece set, and I wanted an 8QT stock pot instead of the 6QT that comes with the other set. It was a good choice for me because the 12-inch saute pan is great. I use it all the time. I call it my chicken pan. It turns out, though, that I don't really use the 8QT stockpot much - I thought I'd use it for soups and stews - but for me it's too big, too deep. I saved up and got a 5.5 QT Le Creuset French oven for that (and more), but that cost me much more than this whole set! The 3 saucepans are nice, but I have a gripe with the 1 QT - with the lid off and empty it tends to tip over. But that's a minor annoyance. You're not going to hand this cookware down to your children, but the beauty of this mid-range set is that it's much better than cheap cookware and it'll serve you very well while (if like me) you save up to buy the expensive stuff a piece at a time.

Great product - J. Kelley -
I spent a week reviewing and researching all the different types of cookware sets on here. I originally came on here to purchase a Calphalon set for my wife. After seeing all the poor reviews on them, I found this KitchenAid product. It had great reviews for over half off the Calphalon sets. We have cooked several meals with these sets and nothing sticks to them. They have a lifetime warranty, so you can not beat that either.
